I have been making art since I was a little girl. My inspiration was my mom and as time went by, my art changed. I started out as a quilter and it seemed like overnight, I switched to watercolor and calligraphy. I started taking classes and workshops from a variety of teachers. It took a long time to find teachers that inspired and challenged my vision, and I finally achieved my own style. I am quite a gardener and nature plays an important role in the art I create. Gestural marks, design and composition are influenced by nature. Part of the process of creating art is waiting for whispers in my ear. I have learned over time to let a piece rest and the art will speak. To this day, I still feel delighted and grateful to be able to create my art.
